LIFT Music Fund
The LIFT Music Fund is a wonderful boost for people from diverse backgrounds. You can get a small “boost” grant to assist with purchasing materials to help people “realize their full potential in music.”
Music By Black Composers
This is a phenomenal website that can serve as a great resource for researching new composers and diving into your favorites! Check out the “Living Composers Directory” under “Resources” if you’re looking for a place to start.

So often we get stuck in the loop of presenting composers and examples that were presented to us. This is a site that can help us break the cycle. Use an example by Florence Price or Rebecca Clarke. You can teach the same skills with a more diverse collection of repertoire!
